Motorcycle Rider Course
The motorcycle riding experience begins with an ABATE rider course:

Have you ever wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle?
Do you already know how to ride but want to improve your skills and abilities?
Do you have your motorcycle endorsement on your Indiana driver’s license?
Would you like to receive a discount on your motorcycle insurance premium?
Are you mentally prepared to deal with hazards while riding?
Do you know how to pick the right motorcycle and riding gear to best suit your needs?
Do you know how to react to special situations such as obstacles in the roadway, rain, railroad crossings, steel grate bridges, gravel roads, rain grooves, animals in the roadway, etc.?

ABATE of Indiana is proud to offer you these fun and exciting motorcycle rider courses.

Basic Rider Course for beginning and experienced riders
Experienced Rider Course for riders who want to improve their skills on their own motorcycle

ATTENTION! Motorcycle Rider Course Students If you have sent in a registration for the Basic Rider Course or Experienced Rider Course, we will be sending a post card in the mail confirming your class. If you provided an email address, you will be receiving an email confirmation as soon as you are entered into the system. It typically takes us a couple weeks to process your class information. If you haven't received your card, please call 800-232-2283 to verify your registration. Your membership card (for non-members) will most likely arrive before your class registration card.

Motorcycle License Testing
Just want to get your motorcycle operators license without taking a motorcycle course?

If you don't want to take a class, but still want to get your motorcycle license click here for testing dates, locations and times.

Important Skills Testing Information: You must provide an Indiana Drivers License, and you must have a valid (unexpired) Motorcyle Learners Permit, and provide your own motorcycle to take the test.

A Motorcycle Learners Permit can be obtained by your local Bureau of Motor Vehicles and is based on questions from the Motorcycle Operators Manual.
